- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 package cream cheese
- 2 cups confectioner’s sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine yellow cake mix, eggs, and softened butter. Mix until smooth using a spoon or electric mixer.
Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Evenly press the cake mixture into the bottom of the pan, smoothing it out with your hands or a fork.
In another bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, confectioner’s sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth.
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the base. Use a spatula to spread it evenly across the pan.
Bake for 35 minutes, until the top is lightly golden and set. The center should still feel soft.
Let cool completely. Slice into squares with a clean knife, wiping between cuts for neat edges.
