Cottage Cheese Crispy Onion Rings are a lighter, oven baked twist on classic onion rings, combining creamy cottage cheese with savory seasonings to create a golden, crunchy coating without deep frying.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 to 2 large white onions sliced into thick rings
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional paprika or everything bagel seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Blend cottage cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  • Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons onto the sheet, spreading into circles slightly larger than onion rings.
  • Place onion rings on top, pressing lightly to adhere.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan and optional seasonings evenly over each ring.
  • Bake 35 to 45 minutes until golden and crisp, rotating tray if needed.
  • Let cool at least 10 minutes before serving so they firm up.
