Cornbread Waffle Bites With Honey Butter Syrup

Cornbread Waffle Bites blend crispy edges with a soft, slightly sweet center. Drizzled with honey butter syrup, they’re irresistibly golden and rich.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cornbread mix
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the batter: In a bowl, whisk cornbread mix, buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until smooth. Fold in cheddar and bacon if using.
  • Cook the waffles: Preheat a mini waffle maker and lightly grease it. Spoon 1 tablespoon of batter into each section, close the lid, and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
  • Make the syrup: In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter with honey, maple syrup (if using), and a pinch of salt, stirring until smooth.
  • Serve: Arrange waffle bites on a platter, drizzle with honey butter syrup, and enjoy warm.
