Copycat Pizza Hut Breadsticks

These Copycat Pizza Hut Breadsticks are soft, chewy, and brushed with a buttery garlic-Parmesan topping—just like the ones you remember, but even better homemade.

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 1⅓ cups warm water 110°F
  • ¼ cup non-fat dry milk powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 2 1/4 teaspoons
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • For the Topping:
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Mix warm water, dry milk, salt, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy. Add oil and flour, then knead 5–7 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover and let dough rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll dough into a ½-inch thick rectangle. Cut into 1-inch strips and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Mix melted butter, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Brush half onto dough strips.
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and puffed.
  • Brush with remaining butter mixture immediately after baking.
  • Serve warm with marinara sauce.
