Copycat Pillsbury Cinnamon Roll Icing

This Copycat Pillsbury Cinnamon Roll Icing is a creamy, rich frosting made with butter, vanilla, and heavy cream. It’s perfect for topping your homemade or store-bought cinnamon rolls and takes just minutes to prepare.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp fine salt
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream room temperature

Instructions
 

  • Beat room temperature butter in a mixing bowl for 2-3 minutes until smooth and pale.
  • Mix in vanilla extract and salt until creamy and well combined.
  • Gradually stir in powdered sugar, ½ cup at a time, making sure it's fully incorporated before adding more.
  • Add heavy cream and beat until the icing is smooth and creamy. Add more cream if needed to adjust the consistency.
  • Spread or pour the icing over warm cinnamon rolls, allowing it to melt slightly and coat the rolls.
