Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups
Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups are buttery, cinnamon-sugar bread rolls dipped in vanilla egg batter and pan-fried until crisp—perfect with maple syrup or cream cheese glaze.
- 6 slices sandwich bread crusts removed
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon butter for frying
- ¼ cup granulated sugar + 1 teaspoon cinnamon for rolling
- Maple syrup or cream cheese glaze for drizzling
Flatten bread slices with a rolling pin or spoon. Spread softened butter over each slice.
Mix ¼ cup sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon. Sprinkle over buttered bread. Roll tightly and press to seal.
Whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla in a shallow dish until smooth and slightly frothy.
Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Quickly dip each roll in the batter, coat all sides, then fry 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
Roll warm roll-ups in extra cinnamon sugar. Serve with maple syrup or cream cheese glaze.
