Chocolate Chip Christmas Cookies

There’s nothing quite like baking cookies during the winter holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • ½ cup holiday sprinkles red and green

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, and holiday sprinkles.
  • Use a cookie scoop to drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
