Chicken Bacon Crunch Casserole
A crispy, creamy, and crowd-pleasing casserole packed with chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, and golden tater tots comfort food that brings big flavor with minimal effort.
Casserole Base:
- 32 oz frozen tater tots
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 16 oz sour cream
- 1 pound bacon cooked and crumbled (reserve 2 tbsp for garnish)
- 1 pound cooked chicken chopped or shredded
Fresh Garnish:
- 2 tablespoons green onions sliced
- 2 tablespoons reserved crumbled bacon
Preheat to 400°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Set aside 2 tablespoons of crumbled bacon for topping later.
In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, most of the bacon, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, and shredded cheddar. Mix until creamy and well combined.
Spread the mixture into the dish and top with a single layer of frozen tater tots (no need to thaw).
Bake uncovered for 40 minutes, or until tots are golden and edges are bubbling.
Top with reserved bacon and sliced green onions. Let rest a few minutes before serving.
