Cheesy Taco Penne

This Cheesy Taco Penne brings together the savory flavors of taco-seasoned beef with the creamy goodness of pasta.

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 bag penne pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1/2 package cream cheese

Instructions
 

  • Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Break it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Stir and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the cream cheese until fully melted and combined.
  • In a greased baking dish, combine the cooked penne with 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese. Mix gently.
  • Pour the beef mixture over the pasta and toss lightly to combine. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
