Cheesy Taco Penne
This Cheesy Taco Penne brings together the savory flavors of taco-seasoned beef with the creamy goodness of pasta.
- 3/4 bag penne pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 1/2 package cream cheese
Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Break it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Stir and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Lower the heat and stir in the cream cheese until fully melted and combined.
In a greased baking dish, combine the cooked penne with 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese. Mix gently.
Pour the beef mixture over the pasta and toss lightly to combine. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
