Cheesy Broccoli Rice Casserole
A rich and creamy casserole packed with fluffy rice, tender broccoli, and melted cheddar cheese. Perfect as a side dish or a satisfying main meal, this recipe is easy to prepare and always a family favorite.
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked chicken breast
- 10.5 oz condensed cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
Mix the casserole base: In a large bowl, combine cooked rice, steamed broccoli, 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded chicken (if using), cream of chicken soup, and milk. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Assemble in the baking dish: Lightly grease a 9×13-inch dish and spread the mixture evenly.
Add cheese topping: Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese over the top.
