Cheesy Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole

A rich, cheesy casserole packed with seasoned ground beef, crispy bacon, and golden tater tots—all smothered in a creamy, cheesy sauce. Perfect for family dinners, potlucks, or game nights!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen tater tots
  • 6 bag strips cooked bacon
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add diced onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened. Stir in salt, pepper, and ranch seasoning, then remove from heat.
  • Make the Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, mix cheddar cheese soup with a few tablespoons of water. Stir in half the shredded cheddar and mozzarella until smooth and creamy.
  • Assemble the Casserole: Spread the beef mixture in a 9x13-inch casserole dish. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top. Pour the cheese mixture evenly over the tots, then sprinkle with the remaining cheddar and mozzarella.
  • Bake to Perfection: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25–30 minutes until the tater tots are golden and crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Finish and Serve: Remove from the oven and top with crumbled bacon. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
