Cheese Sauce For Fries

- 200 ml whole milk
- 150 g Cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 tsp all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp mustard
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
Make the Roux: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the flour and whisk for about 1 minute until smooth and lightly golden.
Add the Milk: Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Melt the Cheese: Reduce the heat and stir in the grated Cheddar until smooth and fully melted. Add mustard, garlic powder (if using), salt, and pepper.
