Cajun Shrimp And Sausage Pasta is a creamy, savory pasta dish with tender shrimp, smoky sausage, and bold Cajun seasoning, cooked in one skillet and perfect for a satisfying family dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 oz pasta such as penne or fettuccine
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage sliced
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream
  • ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  • Heat oil or butter in a skillet and brown the sausage for 4 to 5 minutes, then remove from the pan.
  • Season the shrimp and cook in the same skillet for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink, then set aside.
  • Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened.
  • Stir in the garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  • Pour in the cream and broth, add seasonings, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Return the sausage, shrimp, and pasta to the skillet, toss to coat, garnish, and serve warm.
