Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp
  • 8 oz smoked sausage
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Sear the Sausage & Shrimp: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the sliced sausage for 3–4 minutes, then remove. Add another tablespoon of olive oil, toss in the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  • Make the Alfredo Sauce: Lower the heat to medium, melt the butter, and sauté the garlic for 30 seconds. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, then add 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
  • Combine Everything: Return the pasta, shrimp, and sausage to the skillet. Toss well to coat everything in the creamy sauce and let it cook for another minute.
  • Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately. Pair with a crisp salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
