Buttery Vanilla Peach Cobbler with Sweet Crust is a warm, golden dessert filled with juicy peaches and a tender, buttery crust, simple, homey, and irresistibly comforting.
For the Cobbler
- 4 cups sliced peaches fresh or frozen, peeled
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup melted butter
Optional Additions for Flavor
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Peel and slice peaches, mix with ½ cup sugar and vanilla, and let sit to release juices.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and pour melted butter into a 9×9-inch baking dish.
Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar; add milk and mix until smooth.
Pour batter over butter, spoon peaches on top (don’t stir).
Bake 45–50 minutes until golden and bubbly; sprinkle sugar on top if desired.
Cool 10 minutes, then serve warm with ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel drizzle.
