Buttery Vanilla Peach Cobbler with Sweet Crust is a warm, golden dessert filled with juicy peaches and a tender, buttery crust, simple, homey, and irresistibly comforting.

Ingredients
  

For the Cobbler

  • 4 cups sliced peaches fresh or frozen, peeled
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup melted butter

Optional Additions for Flavor

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • Peel and slice peaches, mix with ½ cup sugar and vanilla, and let sit to release juices.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and pour melted butter into a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  • Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar; add milk and mix until smooth.
  • Pour batter over butter, spoon peaches on top (don’t stir).
  • Bake 45–50 minutes until golden and bubbly; sprinkle sugar on top if desired.
  • Cool 10 minutes, then serve warm with ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel drizzle.
