Buttery Honey Garlic Shrimp is a fast, flavorful dish with tender shrimp in a sweet, garlicky butter sauce—ready in 20 minutes, perfect for busy nights.
- 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice optional, for brightness
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for heat
- Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat completely dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
Whisk honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice (if using) in a small bowl. Set aside.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
Place shrimp in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Don’t overcook.
Pour in the sauce, stir to coat. Add red pepper flakes if desired. Simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Remove from heat. Top with fresh parsley and serve hot.
