Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham Bake

This Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham Bake combines tender, savory ham with juicy pineapple chunks baked in a glossy brown sugar glaze. It’s simple, quick to prepare, and perfect for family dinners, holiday gatherings, or even office potlucks.

Ingredients
  

  • 600 g cooked ham diced
  • 1 can 570 g pineapple chunks, drained, reserve 60 ml juice

For the Sweet and Tangy Glaze:

  • 110 g brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon or yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 60 ml reserved pineapple juice
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves optional
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 190°C and lightly grease a 33×23 cm baking dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk brown sugar, mustard, soy sauce, pineapple juice, and cloves until smooth and syrupy.
  • Arrange diced ham and drained pineapple chunks in the dish, then pour the glaze over and toss gently to coat.
  • Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until heated through and caramelized around the edges.
  • Let it rest a few minutes before serving so the glaze thickens and clings to the ham and pineapple.
