Brown Sugar Chops

A perfect blend of sweet, savory, and smoky flavors, these Brown Sugar Chops are seared to golden perfection and coated in a rich, caramelized glaze. Quick, easy, and full of flavor!

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup chicken broth or water

Instructions

  • Season the Pork Chops: Pat dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and thyme.
  • Make the Glaze: Mix brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Sear the Pork Chops: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chops for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Add the Glaze: Reduce heat to medium, spread the brown sugar mixture over the chops, and pour chicken broth into the skillet (avoiding direct contact with the meat).
  • Simmer and Caramelize: Cook for 5–7 minutes, flipping once, until the glaze thickens and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Rest and Serve: Let the chops rest for 5 minutes, then drizzle with the caramelized pan sauce before serving.
