Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies are chewy homemade cookies with nutty browned butter, rich chocolate, and crisp golden edges.

- 1 sheet refrigerated pie pastry
- 3 firm ripe pears
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cardamom
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp apricot preserves
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Fit the pastry into a 9-inch tart pan and trim the edges.
Peel, core, and thinly slice the pears.
Toss them gently with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and flour.
Arrange the slices across the pastry in overlapping rows.
Dot the surface with small pieces of butter.
Bake for 30–35 minutes until the pastry is golden and the pears are tender.
Warm the preserves and brush them lightly over the warm tart.
