Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies are chewy homemade cookies with nutty browned butter, rich chocolate, and crisp golden edges.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet refrigerated pie pastry
  • 3 firm ripe pears
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp apricot preserves

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Fit the pastry into a 9-inch tart pan and trim the edges.
  • Peel, core, and thinly slice the pears.
  • Toss them gently with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and flour.
  • Arrange the slices across the pastry in overlapping rows.
  • Dot the surface with small pieces of butter.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until the pastry is golden and the pears are tender.
  • Warm the preserves and brush them lightly over the warm tart.
