Boozy Jello Candy Melts
Boozy Jello Candy Melts are fun, flavorful, and irresistibly chewy. Made with flavored gelatin, a splash of your favorite liquor, and a hint of sweetness, these bite-sized treats are perfect for parties or a unique cocktail garnish.
- 2 packages flavored gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold alcohol
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsps unflavored gelatin powder
- ½ tsp citric acid
- Edible glitter, sanding sugar, or edible gold leaf
Grease the molds: Lightly coat silicone candy molds with non-stick spray or a thin layer of oil to prevent sticking.
Dissolve the gelatin: In a heatproof bowl, mix flavored gelatin, unflavored gelatin, and sugar. Add boiling water and whisk for 2 minutes until fully dissolved.
Add the alcohol: Let the mixture cool for 5 minutes, then stir in the cold alcohol. For a milder taste, replace some alcohol with cold water.
Fill the molds: Pour the mixture into the prepared molds, filling each cavity to the top. Sprinkle edible glitter or gold leaf if desired.
Chill until firm: Place the molds in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or until the candies are firm to the touch.
Unmold and enjoy: Gently pop out the candies and dust with sugar if you like. Serve and enjoy!
