Ingredients

Brownie layer:

  • 1 box of brownie mix
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Cookie dough filling:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup flour heat-treated for safety
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp milk or as needed for desired consistency
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped maraschino cherries optional for Black Forest twist

Chocolate coating:

  • 2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips melted
  • Maraschino cherries for topping

Instructions

  • Bake the brownies according to the package instructions or your favorite homemade recipe. Once cooled, crumble them into coarse pieces and mix in the chocolate chips.
  • Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the heat-treated flour, vanilla extract, and milk to achieve a smooth dough. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped cherries for added flavor.
  • Flatten a small amount of brownie crumbles into a disk. Place a spoonful of cookie dough in the center and wrap the brownie layer around the dough, forming a ball. Repeat until all bombs are made.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds.
  • Dip each brownie bomb into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Place on parchment paper.
  • Press a maraschino cherry on top of each bomb while the chocolate is still soft. Let the bombs set completely before serving.
