  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven: Set to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook the sausage: Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks (5–7 minutes).
  • Make the gravy: Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add milk, whisking until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  • Assemble the casserole: Layer hashbrowns in the dish, then evenly distribute the biscuit pieces. Pour the sausage gravy over the top, ensuring it soaks in.
  • Bake: Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the casserole and bake for 30–35 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown. Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving for easy slicing.
