Bang Bang Chicken Skewers
Bang Bang Chicken Skewers feature juicy, grilled chicken coated in a creamy, spicy-sweet sauce. Inspired by the classic “bang bang” flavor, they’re bold, tangy, and perfect as an appetizer or main dish.
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 3-4 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1-2 tbsp Sriracha
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp honey
- Wooden or metal skewers
- Green onions
- Sesame seeds
- Lime wedges
Prepare the skewers: Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread chicken cubes onto skewers, leaving space between each piece.
Make the marinade: Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and honey. Reserve ¼ cup for basting or dipping.
Marinate the chicken: Toss skewers in the marinade, ensuring even coating. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours).
Grill the skewers: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates. Grill skewers for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F/74°C). Baste with the reserved marinade in the final minute.
Garnish and serve: Transfer to a plate, sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve with lime wedges. If using the dipping sauce, mix the ingredients and serve on the side.
