Bahama Mama
A refreshing, fruity slush cocktail made with pineapple and orange juice, two types of rum, and grenadine—Bahama Mama is a tropical delight that’s simple to make and perfect for warm-weather sipping.
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1 fluid ounce orange juice
- 1 fluid ounce pineapple juice
- ½ fluid ounce rum
- ½ fluid ounce coconut-flavored rum
- ½ fluid ounce grenadine syrup
Measure out all your liquids: orange juice, pineapple juice, regular rum, coconut-flavored rum, and grenadine. Use fresh juice if possible for a brighter flavor, but bottled works fine in a pinch.
In your blender, combine the crushed ice with all the measured liquids. No need to layer—just toss it all in.
Blend on high until the consistency becomes smooth and icy, like a frozen cocktail or slushie. Takes about 20–30 seconds. If the mix looks too thin, add a little more crushed ice. Too thick? A splash more juice will fix it.
Pour the Bahama Mama into your glass of choice. For a festive touch, garnish with a pineapple wedge, maraschino cherry, or even a tiny umbrella.
