Bacon Cheeseburger Rice Skillet
A one-pan skillet packed with all the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger—crispy bacon, seasoned beef, tangy relish, and melty cheese—mixed with rice for a comforting, family-approved dinner.
- 6 –8 slices of bacon chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion diced
- 3 –4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon Kinders Caramelized Onion Burger Seasoning or preferred burger seasoning
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon yellow or Dijon mustard
- 8 ounces canned tomato sauce
- 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice like jasmine
- 2¼ cups beef broth
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Crisp chopped bacon in a skillet or Dutch oven. Remove and set aside, leaving 1 tsp fat in the pan.
Cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned and onions soften. Drain excess grease.
Stir in burger seasoning and Worcestershire; cook 1–2 minutes.
Add tomato paste, cook 1–2 minutes. Stir in relish, mustard, and tomato sauce.
Mix in rice and broth. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer 18–20 minutes until rice is tender.
Remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup cheese and bacon, then top with remaining cheese. Cover 3–5 minutes until melted.
Spoon into bowls and enjoy hot.
