Apple Fritter Waffle Donuts

Apple Fritter Waffle Donuts combine tender apple-studded waffles with a quick fry for crisp edges, finished with a dusting of powdered sugar for the perfect balance of cozy and indulgent.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, and melted butter, then pour into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Fold in diced apples.
  • Preheat a waffle maker and spoon in the batter, cooking until golden and crisp. Let cool slightly, then cut into donut rounds.
  • Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep pan and fry the donuts 1–2 minutes per side until golden. Drain on paper towels, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
