Apple Dumplings
The combination of crescent rolls, apples, and soda creates a magical dessert that’s crispy, sweet, and absolutely delicious!
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count)
- 2 sticks butter melted
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon or to taste
- 1 can 7-Up or Mountain Dew (12 oz)
- 2 large Granny Smith apples peeled and cored
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
Peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into eight slices each.
Unwrap the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
Place an apple slice on the wide end of each triangle, roll it up like a croissant, and place them in the prepared baking dish.
In a bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth. Pour the mixture evenly over the crescent rolls.
Pour the soda between the rolls (avoid pouring directly on top). Bake for 35-45 minutes or until the dumplings are golden brown.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra delicious treat!
