Amish Wedding Steak

This comforting dish combines tender beef steaks with a rich, savory gravy. Perfect with mashed potatoes or veggies for a hearty, satisfying meal!

Ingredients
  

For the steaks:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder optional

For the breading:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika optional

For the gravy:

  • 2 cup beef broth
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp onion powder optional
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder optional

Instructions
 

  • Mix beef, bread crumbs, milk, onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Form 8-10 oval patties. Chill for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Coat steaks in the flour mixture.
  • Brown steaks in a skillet with oil, 2-3 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking dish.
  • Whisk together beef broth, soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder for the gravy.
  • Pour gravy over steaks. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake 15 more minutes.
  • Let sit for a few minutes before serving. Pair with mashed potatoes, noodles, or veggies for a perfect meal.
