Amish Broccoli Salad
With a mix of fresh ingredients and a creamy dressing, it’s an ideal side for potlucks, barbecues, or family dinners.
For the salad:
- 6 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup red onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 8 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
For the dressing:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, cheddar cheese, red onion, sunflower seeds, raisins, and bacon and mix well.
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss until everything is well-coated.
Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!
