Addictive Spicy Honey Pepper Chicken With Mac And Cheese
Tender honey-garlic pepper chicken baked to glossy perfection, paired with creamy homemade mac and cheese—for a cozy, flavor-packed meal.
For the Chicken
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- ½ cup pure honey
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- Salt to taste
For the Mac and Cheese
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Salt to taste
Preheat oven to 400°F. Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
Melt butter in a saucepan. Add garlic, then stir in honey and pepper. Remove from heat.
Place chicken in a baking dish, pour over half the glaze. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until it reaches 165°F.
Boil macaroni in salted water for 8–9 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Melt butter, whisk in flour to make roux. Slowly add milk, cook until thick. Stir in cheese, season with salt.
Drizzle chicken with remaining glaze. Serve with mac and cheese.
